  • What types of products or services is the audience searching for?
  • Who is searching for EFBA products or services?
    • Demographics, purchasing power, and location.
    • Social media platforms that they use.
  • When is the audience searching for EFBA products?
    • What is the search trend?
    • Is it seasonal?
  • Why is the audience searching for these products or services?
    • What problems can EFBA solve for that audience?
  • How is the audience searching?
    • Words users use.
    • What are the problems they face after using EFBA products or services?

Rank Keywords

  • Rank by monthly search volume – Data exported from Google Keyword Planner to Excel.

I analyzed all the website pages that rank on the first page of Google for the keyword “French for Children” in Google Keyword Planner. First, I copied the website links of the top-ranked pages into Google Keyword Planner then, I sorted the keywords by groups, and finally, I cleaned up the keyword research results by using negative keywords. Once the data was cleaned up, I exported it to Excel for data analysis. In Excel, I filtered the data out by average search volume. The top keywords of the list were the ones I used to create blog content ideas.

On-Page SEO Optimization of the EFBA Website

  • Optimization of the URL: How?
    • Include 1 of the primary keywords in the URL.
    • Do not stuff keywords in the URL.
    • Avoid repeating words.

Example:

  • Optimization of the SEO Title Tag: How?
    • Utilize the WordPress plugins like Yoast SEO.
    • Have a title under 60 characters in length to avoid cutoffs by Google.
    • Place the main keyword (French for Children) towards the front of the title tag. This strategy typically carries more weight, and it’s a more significant ranking signal.
    • Add the high-ranking keywords to the Title Tag.
    • Add a unique Meta Description.
  • Optimization of the SEO Page Title: How?
    • Do not make the SEO title tag and SEO page title the same.

Off-Page SEO Optimization of the EFBA Website

Off-page SEO refers to great external link building. So how to determine:

  • what makes a good backlink?
    • Check websites with Domain Authority (DA) above 30.
    • Check how many keywords the website appears for, preferably above 100 keywords.
    • Check that the website has decent organic traffic, at least 200 monthly organic visitors.
    • Check that the website has at least 50 referring domains (the number of unique websites linking back).
    • Check that the page isn’t linking out tons of other different websites.

To go through this backlink selection process, I like to use an Excel Sheet like this:

  1. To find out, how many people are visiting a website?

I use Google Analytics. I go into ‘Acquisition Reports’ and then the ‘Overview’ tab to predetermine the date range. Once the date range is set up, I check:

  1. To find out, the number of visitors that a website gets in a period.

To see a more detailed insight into the actual traffic numbers, I go to ‘All Traffic,’ then to Channels. Under channels, it is possible to see:

  • The website traffic on a day-by-day basis.
  • What days the traffic drops and goes up.
  1. To find out, what country is traffic coming from? -How to check this?

I Go over to ‘Audience’ on Google Analytics, then “Geo,” and finally ‘Location.’ There, I can find:

  • Where the audience comes from.
  • The bounce rate of the website.
  • The number of pages users view per session on average.
  • The revenue generated per country.
  • Overall, the Audience tab provides an understanding of the most valuable audience.

To get more detail on a specific country, I click into any nation, select a state or city, and pull out important insights like how much revenue each region generates. Then, with all that data, I can better decide what towns or states to target.

  1. What pages on a website are the ones that are generating the bulk of traffic? What tool? Google Analytics

To find out what pages are the most popular pages on a website, I go to the ‘Behavior’ tab, which is all about how people behave once they’re on a website. Then, I go to ‘site content,’ – ‘All Pages,’ and select – a specified date range. By default, Google Analytics sorts the website pages by the number of page views.

In addition, under Behavior, the bounce rate of all pages is also visible. The bounce rate percentage shows what pages need improvement. Ideally, the most popular pages listed at the top should not have the highest bounce rates. To establish why some pages are the most popular ones is necessary to look at the Source and medium to determine the traffic source users come from.

To find the sources, I go under ‘Secondary Dimension,’ then ‘acquisition,’ and of course, source/medium. Here, Google adds another column to the data, and it lets me know precisely where a source of traffic comes from.

A source can be:

  • Direct Source: a user goes over a browser and directly types our URL or clicks on a saved bookmark.
  • CPC source: the user comes from a paid ad.
  • Referral: the user comes from another website.
  1. How to Set Up Goals in Google Analytics to Measure your Business Sucess?
    • Set up goals in Google Analytics. A goal is any specific action that users take on your website/app that is valuable to know about.
    • How to use the tool to set up goals? I go to ‘admin’ in the bottom left-hand corner and then to goals on the right-hand side. Under ‘all website data,’ I click on ‘new goal.’ Then, Google presents 3 options to set up a goal to measure business success. The goal setup: I select a goal from a template that Google has pre-configured, give it a name, and continue filling out gaps depending on the chosen plan.
